A beginners guide to setting up a Linux server.
This is a guide for people who have little or no experience with running Linux.
It will guide you through the steps of setting a old PC up as a linux server running several sevices such as a webserver, fileserver, database server and shell server.
It doesn't go into great detail about anything but rather sticks to the basics so you can get it set up and start playing with it yourself.

Had to downgrade kernel and reboot server to prevent local root exploit. We will return to new kernel when a patch is released.

Limited amount of variables that can be passed trough a POST request in response to vulnerability in php. This limit will be removed again as soon as there's a patch. Sorry to anyone affected.
